Upcycling Old Mousepads
Ever wondered what to do with your worn mousepads of yesteryear? Below are a few tips to give the old some new found purpose.
1. Use as a hot pad
Protect your table from high temperatures by placing one (or more) mousepads on your dinner table before placing down a hot dish.
2. Pad your furniture
Cut mousepad into pieces small enough to glue to the bottoms of stools and chairs to keep them from scratching and scuffing the floor. These pieces can also be used to prevent tables and chairs from wobbling.
3. Make coasters
Trim your mousepad into 8 cm squares and use as drink coasters.
4. Line kitchen cupboards
Place mousepads on your kitchen cupboard shelves to prevent dishes and glasses from slipping.
5. Children’s Artwork
Your old mousepads can top up your child’s art supplies. They can cut them up, draw on them or glue their art elements to it.
6. Straighten photo frames
Bind a piece of mousepad to the back of a photo frame (or the wall) to keep the frame from slipping.
